I’m Carrie and I am so glad you are here!

She’s Trying to Hold it Together is a newer idea of mine. Some of you may remember my Rebel of Nothingness phase, but I think I have finally grown out of that phase. I left it all behind, closed up the shop, and shut down anything Rebel of Nothingness related.

I’ve been on a constant search since I was a teenage to find my purpose. Guess what? I still haven’t figured it out, but I do feel closer to whatever it may be. I am hoping that this space is part of it and I am hoping that you stick around to keep me company on this journey.

Around here, you’ll find honest thoughts, shared experiences, a little laughter, a little grace, and plenty of reminders that it’s okay to not have it all together. Som whether you are thriving, surviving, or somewhere in between, there’s a place for you here with me.

After years of trying to get this off the ground and begging so many people to do this with me, I am finally at a place where I am going to try the solo act with hopefully some guest appearances. These won’t be perfectly polished conversations or expert lectures. They will be honest chats about real life from someone who is doing the best she can to hold it together. I’ll be learning as I go, probably making lots of mistakes, and possibly even laughing through some of it. If you want to know what you can expect, I think you and I will be finding out at the same time because as of right now, I have no clue!
